Before I begin this post -- I will emphasize above all else -- humans are still the best creations....but I sometimes wonder what you do or don't know about your true self? I'll state emphatically that your true self is usually the silent inner part of yourself we've long been taught to ignore by traditional establishments (however you name them). They are many in number. But..., if you step out of the box long enough to see that humans are more than mere units of production, we are inherently valuable, and we aren't sheep..., let's say that much.
Allow me to bring up some of the smallest to the largest issues facing Americans today. I'd like to talk about the 4,000,000 or so U.S. citizens plunged back into poverty after digging themselves out these past 25 - 30 years...doing it honestly and painstakingly. I cite attorneys, doctors, middle-class people, educated folk who weren't born with the silver spoon. I'm not saying wealthy people shouldn't be wealthy. Not at all. In fact -- congratulations on a job well done! Do you have to be a billionaire to find sanctuary? Let's move on.
Some of Our Leaders Don't "Get It"
So big $$ before the meltdown owned 25% of the wealth in this country and doing so by going well beyond Japanese and European borders. What do they own now?
If the lawmakers are often attorneys residing on "Capital" Hill and they write the code (or ammendments) everyday folks just cannot understand, that's a problem. Sure, our local governments are just now seeing that 150 year old ammendments no longer apply to our modern age, but we have more laws than ever before when you consider our early days of the Constitution. It's gotten so complex, fewer can now make sense of "the rules". Are there really any, we ask?
Stating The Obvious For the Masses
Why are U.S. Citizens...45% of long-term unemployed not employed? What ever happened to
EEO Commitment at corporate levels??? I think this commitment has run a muck. Companies are making more profit than they have ever done in the history of Corporate America. That's a good thing, but we're eroding U.S. standing. You can oppose this statement with a million "becauses". Now the public is no longer paying attention. We see the results and no U.S. citizen wants socialism. But.., if you examine the EEO Commitment, it says:
- "The company provides equal opportunity to all qualified persons without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion, gender, age, disability, genetic information, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, veteran/military status or any other basis prohibited by law", (a department store which will remain nameless because it's a major one many of you know and love...and I love it too...in smaller slices).
I don't see anything in this EEO Commitment addressing the "regardless of education"..group...or anything about America fully and quietly practicing ageism (discrimination against elders and youngers). So whether that means young college students get the summer jobs (over those who have mortgages to pay) or whether that means younger employees are being vastly under-paid -- they're still and probably always will be silent replacement of prime corporate intellectual capital (high paid smarts at elder levels for more pay)..., so upper execs... why are favoring this approach? The people want to know. Sure...you have a right to profit and free enterprise...at who's expense? Is your golden barge really that big..., and why doesn't government prohibit excess payouts at these highest levels? Is corporate furniture so much more important than your fellow humans beings' natural rights? And..sure...corporate expansion is always a chief aim. I'm not saying we're for it or against it. We're just asking you to look around and spend some time on the streets with those who have nothing. Step into their shoes for a day.
Ex Disabled American Vets
Now that our women are going to war..., we have a real liability on our hands. How about our men going to war? That's another travesty. Sure.., military folk do what they believe is right...and I don't blame them fro doing what they've been trained to do.
Governments wage war -- not the people.
So the fallout of vets coming home without minds is tough enough. I speak from personal experience. Family life was like living in a concentration camp -- without any help.
What happens is this much...
Families suffer terrible trauma because these people are incapacitated. I cite single-working moms, Ex-Military? ..., or women who are spending 24/7 caring for their Post Traumatic War men. But the scientific studies continue and they can name the illness but they can't treat the real problem (going to war in the first place because it's profitable -- I cite protecting our borders mindset, and being there for others countries cause they need us more than we need ourselves mentality).
Aren't voters supposed to have a say about these expenditures? It's time we took care of ourselves. We have kids who eat their weekend meals during school weekdays because parents can't afford to feed them.., but if we go back to the VA challenge, our Veterans Administration forgot to deliver some pensions promised to these very young women...living singularly with kids no less -- because the VA claims, "well...our system is emotionally and medically geared to manage male vets and we're working with WW2 facilities and an under-trained staff, but we really can't handle female medical needs. Huh? Does anyone have a comment or two about this challenge? I'd like to know. Clue me in and tell me I'm way off-base.
What about people who have scraped their way out of the Middle Class by borrowing their largest amounts...just to get higher education...now that our oldest (and newest) institutions are "for profit" just to survive today's economics?
- 45% of those with masters degrees who were unemployed going back as far as 2001...are still unemployed...
- Ph.D.'s are still piled higher and deeper and they're naturally very scared
- They're being told..."You're over-qualified"...."You're under-qualified"...so which is it?
It's not the 1930's.
In fact...I think the year is 2010..but clue me in cause we might as well be living in Medieval Times or Caveman Days. Folks...it's time to wake up and smell the roses...or should I call it the thorns?
Yeah -- we'll find a way out of this economic mess, but it's not going to be at continued taxpayer expense. We're being hitter harder by the banks "who are losing $$"...or so they might have us hear. That's why they no longer give you a grace period on any credit card payments... and we're again and again left bailing them out for their heavy speculation. This happens every 15 years...on average...neverminding the higher than ever paid late fees on overdrawn bank accounts...because savings rates are at an all-time low.
So...if we go back to the government taxes..."Cause government folks say that they're over-budget and we're not getting enough revenue"..., this isn't a "We" Against "You" thing. We're all living in the same pot. Let's cut back on education "yet one more time"...oh and..."Let's expand education to fill a child's summer in hopes that we can catch up with Japan or other Asian countries". Do you really think this is going to help? Shouldn't we have hired more qualified teachers at greater pay back in the 1950's up until now? Some of us know that we don't always hired the best teachers.
Here's another situation gone awry. In local towns, smaller governments have decided to tax people extra $$ on whatever the city can conjure...-- things like candy, soda pop, and the age-old disputed cigarette tax...--- OK -- I can see how our government wants to reduce smoking and obesity. It's just a weird way to do it.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE America. That's why it's time to talk about this stuff so maybe we can alter our awareness a bit by voting a proper conscience, and by taking some sensible action.
The quiet ones with pure hearts -- it's time for you to starting voicing how you feel. Don't rely on some of us who are now saying, "Enough"!
New GOP Money
Check out, TIME....2010...THE ELECTIONS..."It's Tea Party Time", September 27, 2010...
OK. The public has been notified and you've got the tea. The masses have no drink.
Can politicians...Democrat or Republican really expect our mass vote...paid or otherwise? Republicans just announced that their "New GOP Money" Stampede (to the tune of $50 Million)...is being targeted to influence midterm elections.
What?
What about the folks who need food and can't get help from local community shelters because the food banks are running empty? And what about young and older men who don't have dependents? They're left out in the cold because they're male. I checked on this fact firsthand so I wouldn't be bragging. If you're a male who's unemployed in this country and you do have dependents, then you might get some renter's assistance....or you might get another 6 month unemployment extension. I would hope the latter case helps our single men.
Time For Bi-Partisanship To Go Bye-Bye
You're getting no where advertising a lobbying system that can be manipulated by large interest groups carrying bribe money...to simply use our system as a bank machine for their own causes.
Where's the little person's voice? Oh..., I forgot. They aren't carrying any pocket change so too bad. You have to fend for yourself, no matter how cold or hot it gets out there.
One Idea
Consider pulling in some New Economy ideas like:
- Drop the bi-partisianship....,
- Stop your debates...,
- Bring in the independent thinkers who walk the walk in industry and on the street
- Work together (Novel Idea)
- Stop taxpayer bantering -- it hasn't gone anywhere these past 100 years
- Just stop your arguing cause we're really getting tired reading about it...and besides...we just want to have enough time in our days to floss our teeth.
Here's what's interesting. I've talked about this real phenomenon in a prior post and it's not pretty. Allow me to hit the refresh button. There's a red tide mindset and a blue tide mindset of people now emerging into 2 distinct groups. In actuality, it's been here all along -- we just never saw it or identified it. We were muddled up in your baloney all along. Now we're getting very clear about what we intend and don't intend to allow.
What's red tide? Forget you Jack..., I got it all... mentality. It's win - lose..and I'm gonna do whatever I can do to take care of myself -- cause the world owes me -- so tough luck Charlie.
What's blue tide? False entitlement -- doesn't work. We know that part. We're still figuring out how we can benefit from our work with decent returns. These folks are the people who have quietly gone about their work, hoping the red tide guys/gals would "understand what we humans are all about"...living on the same, blue globe. In fact, we'll breathe our last breath before we pull anything out of any system.
Blue tiders are people working in unison to "get ourselves out of a big human mess once and for all"...and guess what's happening? We're silently moving into leadership...even though we know we've been true leaders for a very long time, now. We're killing our egos in favor of creating peace. Ever notice why we leave a the middle of ANY conflict? It's not worth the heat and besides, you don't hear us anyway. You're busy thinking up your next egotistical idea.
I've always said.. "Don't argue with an egomanic. He/she will beat you with experience"...cause you cannot win...and what's winning anyway in a world we create with our intentions and our actions? It's all relative but it sure looks real. I'm am saying -- we're more interested in care, respect, and NO MORE war...and sensible leadership + sensible government looking out for what's makes decent sense.
Maybe we need an alien landing, not that this is my primary hope. It might pull a few of you together.
So We're Scratching Our Heads
I think the Constitution means something. I get teary-eyed whenever I read it. The Monroe Doctrine is a pure act of genius...inspired by something greater than we'll ever really see or know with our brains.
Your systems and your thoughts are so outmoded, we don't know who you are...but we've tried to find out and can't even make the connection.
Our religions have thrown us back in evolution by 1,000's of years. People don't know how to think for themselves until they get fed up with your entire ball of very profitable, tax free wax. And...do our kids really need your indoctrination when they're free spirits to begin with? Seems - they could lead the way quite well without living in any guilt.
So...back to red tiders....they've not yet decide to move beyond daily fears and limitations or stop thinking about 1 or self-serving, grouped agendas that create laws the masses cannot understand.
We need real people in Congress. It might be far more profitable....and happy. I say this with care and respect no matter how tough these words read because I believe every human being has a grander side. You just can't see if you're busy blaming, projecting, or being right over being sensible. You create everything that happens in your life and you can't say...oh -- well so and so did X, Y, or Z to me...cause it's not being heard by those who know better. It's time to stop blaming your parents for things you wanted to them give but couldn't. It's time to stop blaming..in general so we can solve what has to be done.
We're all so connected that it should be frightening... so please..., remember...the golden goose (U.S. Joes and Janes) feed your veins with blood (taxes and profits). They're the backbone of what made our country so great.
Please post your comments. I'd like to hear more about how win-win people think. I'm worn out by an old consciousness that refuses to give up the ghost.
America Still Is Beautiful, But It Ain't Always Workin' As Great As It Should,
